Tunnel ventilation
In the tunnel ventilation system, air intake and air exhaust are carried out through the walls and / or ends of the building. Tunnel ventilation is used in livestock buildings, where increased air exchange is required during extremely hot summer periods. For this purpose, box fans are used that have sufficient power to drive air at high speed through the room, creating a so-called tunnel cooling effect.
Tunnel fans can be installed at the end of the building when air is driven along the axis of the building or built into the wall when air is driven across the building in case the building is divided into sections. In this case, each section has its own tunnel ventilation: the air intake is supplied through motorized shutters and / or Cool Pads, and the air exhaust is driven through box fans installed in the opposite wall of the section.
Tunnel ventilation, as a rule, is used as an additional summer option to the main ventilation system with negative pressure, but in some cases, it can be applied as an independent (the only) ventilation solution.
